For some reason my family has a lot of birthdays in February, March and September. Those months keep me busy buying cards and little gifts for the birthday people and making sure they get out in the mail in time to arrive before the birth date. I must get that from my mom – if the card or present is late, she gets upset. Mom wants the celebration on THE DAY or not at all. So I do try.My nephew is getting so grown up that I sometimes wonder if he really cares about getting the birthday cards and maybe a $20 gift card from McD’s. . . . but I know that I like to get cards and little things even at my age! So I’ll keep sending them and hope that he appreciates the thought and the love behind them.

We have a lot of September birthdays in my family as well. We always joke that the family really knows how to celebrate and bring in the New Year’s due to nine months later come September the family keeps getting larger and larger, seems it always has and always will.
