Fridays are always good days at work. The people that actually show up on Fridays are generally in a good mood and the place is buzzing with talk of week end plans and trying to get things wrapped up quickly so you can leave early and get a jump on the traffic home.

Today was a real good Friday in the fact that we had a nice lunch provided to us from the company as well as some well deserved recognition to several of us for jobs well done by way of some nice Employee Awards that were certainly appreciated. These were some very tastefully purchased Crystal Awards, not the regular, standard cheap tokens or paper certificates, which makes a big difference if you ask me.

Even with all the food and awards I managed to get out of there before 3:30 so traffic wasn’t too awfully gruesome and am looking forward to enjoying another wonderful weather weekend. We just keep lucking out with this unusually warm weather so you have to enjoy it for all it’s got before the heat and humidity start rolling in and we all start heading back inside for the air conditioning. Either that or to the beach.
